The first of its kind, the Ceiling System by Barbican provides even illumination of the ceiling while meeting NFPA standards for above-ceiling sprinkler installations. The key to the system is Barbican’s patented 3D Fibreglass Printing technology. This technology permits weaving of the three-dimensional mesh that uses the minimal amount of resin binder to provide structural integrity of the mesh while meeting the rigorous Class A Flame Spread standards of ASTM E84 without using fire retardants.
Above the mesh, the Barbican Ceiling System has been designed to take advantage of the latest developments in LED and driver control systems. This is where the system achieves excellent energy efficiencies while providing some of the most even illumination available. Lighting in a space equipped with the system is not only consistent, but is virtually shadow-free, creating an environment without glare.
